Alice Z. Young, 84 of Lock Haven, Passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Jersey Shore Hospital. She was born on October 21, 1924 in Warsaw, Poland. She was the daughter of the late Eugeniusz & Jane Miller Zaremba.

She married Leroy Young on December 30, 1946, Leroy passed away in 1998.

She had worked at Bloomsburg Mill & Hammermill until her retirement. She was of Protestant Faith. She loved her grandchildren & great-grandchildren and spending time with all of them.

She is survived by 1 daughter; Evelyn L. D''Ercole and husband Daniel of Red Lion and 5 sons; Leroy and wife Cathy of Jersey Shore, Roger G. and wife Susan of Castanea, Ellis L. of Waymart, Darrell A. and Fiance'' Marsha of Lock Haven, and James E. and wife Tally of Sandston, Va.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter; Pearl C. Young in 1952, a son; Dale D. Young in 2009, and a granddaughter; Danielle Young.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 19, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard, Pa. with the Rev. Wayne Hixon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Summit Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church, 320 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, Pa. 17751.

I had not seen Alice in quite a while, but I remember her from my youth and she always had a smile and a kind wish for me. She spoke lovingly of all her children. She would make my day when she came into Caprio's store because she had such a bubbly personality a positive outlook on life. My deepest sympathies.

Young Family, We are so sorry to hear about mom young. She was a wonderful lady and a great mother-in-law. She helped us a lot thru the years and was always had an ear to listen. She was such a good cook. She will be missed greatly by all of us especially by Brian and Scott. They loved her dearly. Our deepest sympathy to you all. Remember the good times and the memories will never die.
