Phyllis M. Emenhizer, of Flemington passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Susque-View Nursing Home in Lock Haven. She was born on December 5, 1936 in Beech Creek, the daughter of the late Donald S. Glossner and Alice M. Peters Glossner.

On October 28, 1957 she married Kenneth A. Emenhizer who preceded her in death on September 20, 2011.

Phyllis was a homemaker. She had also worked at Sears, Keystone Central and did private housekeeping.

She was a member of the 1st Church of Christ of Lock Haven where she was a member of the Cheerful Gleaners. She was also a member of the Hi Neighbor of Flemington. She enjoyed spending time at the Lock Haven Senior Citizens Center. She loved traveling and along with her husband they visited all 50 states. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son; Kenneth A. Emenhizer Jr. of Lock Haven, three daughters; Connie (George) Harman of Williamsport, Bonnie (Wayne) Bechdel of Lock Haven, and Donna Lannen her fiance'' (Tom Mitchell) of Lock Haven, three brothers; William, Richard, and Ken Glossner, four sisters; Ruth Jackman, Shirley Confer, Janice Saar, & Vickie Rhoades. She was preceded in death by Gene, Keith, Bruce, and Robert Glossner and a sister Doris Dixson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Melissa Myers, Jeremy Mason, Jessica Reeder, Nicole Lupole, Michelle Bower, Sarah Bechdel, and Megan Emenhizer and five great-grandchildren; Ezra Mason, Kyra Myers, Jude and Katie Bower, and Nevaeh Myers.

Funeral will be Friday, February 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard with the Pastor Steve Salman officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery in Howard Twp.

Memorial contributions may be made to the 1st Church of Christ, Water and Vesper Streets, Lock Haven, Pa 17745, earmarked media system.
