Elmer Young, 70 of Beech Creek, Pa. died Monday August 20, 2007 @ the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa.
He was born April 21, 1937 in Beech Creek, Pa. a son of the late William K. and Minnie McCloskey Young . In 1957 he married Barbara Matter who survives at home. He was a logger and woodsman. Along with his wife he is survived by 3 sons; William of Beech Creek, Kenneth of Kittaning and Brian in Arkansas. Three half-sisters Lib Holtzapple of Westport, Helen Miller of Beech Creek, and Dorothy Streck of Lock Haven and a half-brother Clyde Streck of Mill Hall, Pa. Eight grandchildren, Tammy, Toby, Brian, Alice, Jennifer and Ashley Young and Michelle Ardner and Amanda Parks. Also survived by his faithful companion Gizmo.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 PM until 8 PM, August 22, 2007 at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home. 135 W. Main Street, Howard, Pa. Funeral Services will be 8PM. Wednesday following visitation at the funeral home with the Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad.
