     Pearl M. Vonada, 92, of Howard, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on July 2, 1924, in Liberty Township, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Cora Heaton Huntington. In September 1941, in Hublersburg, she married Hubert H. Vonada who preceded her in death on October 29, 1999.

     Pearl attended the Snow Shoe schools. She attended the Trinity United Church of Christ in Hublersburg. She worked on the family farm, along with being a homemaker and mother.

     Pearl enjoyed painting, crocheting, selling Avon, and gardening. She looked forward to days at camp in the summer, and loved spending time with her family.

     Pearl is survived by her three children; Charles R. Vonada and his wife, Christine, of Howard, Ray H. Vonada and his wife, Dixie, of Lamar, and Madelene K. Peters and her husband, Merle, of Howard.

    Also surviving is her brother, Henry Huntington and his wife, Ann, of Cowan, TN, sister, Mildred Dawson of Highland Heights, OH, nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and her four-legged companion, Buddy.

     Along with her parents and husband, Pearl was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Bryan Vonada, Jeffrey Vonada, and Marlin Peters.

     Visitation with family will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 6-8pm at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home in Howard. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating. Burial will follow at Hublersburg Cemetery.       

      Arrangements have been entrusted to Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 135 Main St. Howard. An online guest book can be signed or condolences to the family available at www.kader-neff.com.

Pearl was my sister-in-law and she was most thoughtful and kind to my husband and myself. We visited her a few years back and we had wonderful conversations about her family and her antiques in her home. She will be sadly missed by many.
