The Neff Funeral Home was established by William H. Neff upon his return from the Civil War. After his death, his son Lot H. Neff continued the business for 59 years before turning it over to his son Willard M. Neff, a World War II veteran, who took over the business in 1947. Willard retired in 1955. His son, W. Robert Neff, licensed in 1951, became the owner-operator. In the early 1960’s, by law, the Neff & Son Funeral Home was renamed the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home. Steven R. Neff became a funeral director in 1981, making him the fifth generation. 1996, Curtis J. Kader purchased the business. He retained the name W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, until June 2007 when the business was renamed Kader-Neff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.

As a family owned and operated funeral home, Curtis J. Kader is the owner of Kader-Neff Funeral Home & Cremation Services.Curt attended the University of Maryland overseas program in the United Kingdom, Tyler Junior College in Tyler, TX, University of Houston in Houston, TX. In 1984, he graduated from the Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, TX and became a licensed funeral director.

Curt married Sondra Clowson in 1982 and they have three children: Sean, Meghan & Matthew. He and his family attends Beech Creek Wesleyan Church and his civic involvements are Howard Area Lions Club and many area youth sports programs. He is currently the President of the Schencks Cemetery Association.

In the new millennium Curt will continue to serve families with the same commitment that was made over 140 years ago by William H. Neff and continued through five generations.
