Berniece M Bechdel

Berniece M Bechdel, 94, went to be with the Lord in the presence of her family on March 19, 2023, at her home in Howard, PA.

Berniece was born July 16, 1928, to Rev. Herbert Fisher and Mary (Packer) Fisher.

She was married to Paul V. Bechdel on April 4, 1949, and was a good wife and mother. Berniece worked at Sylvania, Clinton Paper Company, Bobbie Brooks and Woolrich.

Berniece is survived by five children: Sandy Bechdel and her two children Kris and Jason Deitz; Donna (Bechdel) Martin and her husband Steve Martin and their two children Troy and Chastity Martin; P. Dennis Bechdel and his son Cameron Bechdel; Charles Bechdel and his son Chazzy Bechdel; and Chester Bechdel and his wife Cora Lee (Nyman) Bechdel and their two children Jason Bechdel and Tara (Bechdel) Battaglia. Also surviving are nine great grandchildren and a sister Ruby Rauch of Sunbury and a brother Carl Fisher of Howard and her kitty “Shredder”. 

Berniece was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and her one sister and one brother.

The funeral will be at Kader Neff Funeral Home, Howard on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 11-12 with the funeral service following at noon. Pastor Craig Cross and Daniel Schreckengast will be officiating.
