Celestine C. "Teen" Nyman, 95, a resident at Haven Place, Lock Haven, formerly of Howard, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 18, 2021. She was born on December 23, 1925 in Monument, a daughter of the late Nathan R. and Gertrude Butler Litz.
Teen was united in marriage to Ward Nyman on March 2, 1946. They would go on to raise a family and run the family dairy farm for many years. Ward preceded her on April 10, 1990. She was a member of the Marsh Creek Brethren in Christ Church. At her church she was known for the best coleslaw, " made with love" for the churches sandwich sales. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and canning.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna ( Mike ) Corl, Linda Watkins, all of Howard, and Sandra ( Terry Peeler ) Miller of Mill Hall, a sister, Jane Ferguson of Bellefonte, six grandchildren, Lisa ( Daren ) Stover, Jim ( Crystal ) Corl, Denny ( Linn ) Watkins, Alicia ( Tommy ) Smith, Wendy ( Bob Swartz ) Miller, and Leigh ( Albert ) Jones, and fourteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded by seven sisters, five brothers, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at noon at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard, with Pastor Dan Longmore officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the service on Monday.
