Dean R. Moore, 84 of Mill Hall, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Haven Place in Lock Haven. He was born on August 16, 1937 in Bellefonte, the son of the late Charles & Helen Dolan Moore.
On November 23, 1961 he was united in marriage to Nancy Fickes who survives at home.
Dean proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as well as the Army reserves where he retired as a SP5. He was proud of the his Airborne training but he always regretted that he never had the opportunity to actually jump out of a plane due to circumstances beyond his control. He was a member of the Lamar U.M.C., Nittany Valley Grange, Lifetime member of the Nittany Valley Fire Co., Charter member of the Nittany Valley Lions Club, Beech Creek American Legion and the Snow White Hunting Camp. He was very involved in the 4-H and the Clinton Co. Fair Association. He was also a boy scout leader.
He is survived along with his wife two sons Todd R. (Shelley) of Jersey Shore and Timothy L. (Holly) Moore of Lock Haven, one brother Doyle (Shirley) Moore of Lamar, a sister Mary Kline of Blanchard, one sister-in-law Janice Moore of Mill Hall and six grandchildren Evan, Gabrielle, Allison, Nicholas, Joseph and Noel Moore. He was preceded by a brother, Harold Moore
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Lamar U.M.C. at noon with the Pastor Rick Conklin officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
