Dennis C. Watson 77, of Moshannon, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born in Philipsburg on June 22, 1944, a son of the late Carl and Hedvig Isaacson Watson.
He was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area , "Class of 62". He was united in marriage to Helen Wert on March 27, 1965 and they would go on to spend 57 years together. He was employed with Agway, Johnson Morgan, and Carlin.
Denny was a member of Moshannon United Methodist Church and was steadfast in his faith in Jesus Christ. He enjoyed time spent at Gumtree Camp and above all his family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed tinkering and tending to his pride and joy, his 62 Jeep Willys, and his Granger select chewing tobacco, and don't forget his love of cheese. He always had a sense of humor and could always muster up something funny even during difficult times. He truly loved people and interacting with others.
Along with his wife he leaves behind a son, Mark (Barbi) Watson of Moshannon, three daughters, Lisa (Randy) Boone of Milesburg, Juli (Clay) Bain of Bellefonte, and Denise (Mac) Shultz of Howard, a brother, Douglas (Sandy) Watson of Moshannon, seven grandchildren, Heather Strible, Brandon "Buck" Boone, Lana Peters, Ryan Gates, Zachary and Christopher Shultz, and Landon Watson, and three great-grandchildren, Hadley, Avery, and Barrett. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Manson, a brother, Dale Watson, and a grandson, Brent Page-Munro, and his faithful dogs, DW and Jersey.
A service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.at the Howard United Methodist Church, Main Street Howard, with Pastor Craig Rose officiating. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Schenck's Cemetery, Howard.
