Diane M. (Burke) Davidson

Diane Marie Burke Davidson, age 85, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Westfield Nursing & Rehab Center with her family by her side.

She was born in Howard, PA  on August 15, 1937 to the late William T. Burke and Clara Singer Burke.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Murray Davidson, sister Kay Burke and brother Wayne Burke.  Diane was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family more than anything.  When her children were younger, she worked as a high school administrative assistant.   She enjoyed working in her garden and yard and was an avid reader.  She could make the best homemade bread, cakes and pies.  Another enjoyment of hers was watching baseball and football on the TV.  She attended Grace Chapel Church and Solid Rock Community Church.

She is survived by her three children Kimberly “Kim” Halsey (Paul) of Lynchburg, PA, Tad Davidson (Camille) of Sanford, Rafe Davidson (Candy) of Sanford; grandchildren Amber Palmer (Ben), Curtis Halsey (Kristi), Katie Laborde (John), Caleb Halsey (Jessica), Jennifer Dacanay (Ken), Connor Davidson, Reagan Davidson, Brayden Cole; and great-grandchildren Logan, Ryleigh, Jude, Silas, Ellis, Arden, Lewis, Josephine, Francine, Aaris, Elliot, Evelyn and Lily.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Pastor Brad Marona officiating.  A burial will follow at Romola Bible Church Cemetery in Howard, PA at a later date.  

Friends will also be received at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service to follow at the Romola Cemetery, Howard.
