Eva Joy Gutshall, 79, of Howard, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the Lock Haven Hospital. Born on May 4, 1941, in Jacksonville, she was the daughter of the late Yarnell D. and Helen S. (Lucas) Poorman. On June 23, 1984, in Pueblo CO, she married Ray D. Gutshall, who survives at home.
Eva was a 1959 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She was a member of the Summit Hill Wesleyan Church in Howard.
Eva worked at the Woolrich Woolen Mills in Blanchard for many years. When that mill closed, she went to work as a Department Manager at Walmart. She retired after 10 years of service.
Eva was an excellent seamstress, despite her failing eyesight. She loved to sew for her family and friends. In her younger years, she and Ray would travel all over the United States. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Eva is survived by her husband, one son, Russel E. Dolan and his wife, Cathy, of Howard, one daughter, Kandy L. Dolan of Snow Shoe, three grandchildren: Davon, Jason, and Matthew, and two great grandchildren: Allissa and Dylan.
She is also survived by one brother, Jim Poorman of Howard, and four sisters: Shirley Dolan, Dolly Dunlap, Kitty Mae Miller and her husband, Donald all of Howard, and Bonnie Lou Dolan of Thornton, CO, and two step sons: Donald Gutshall of AZ and Douglas Gutshall and his wife, Jean, of Carlisle.
Along with her parents, Eva was preceded in death by one brother, John Poorman.
Eva will be laid to rest privately at the Blain Cemetery in Perry County.
