Franklin D. ‘Cuff” McCloskey, 87, of Howard, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 5, 2021. Born on November 16, 1933, in Howard Twp., he was the son of the late Grover and Hazel (Gardner) McCloskey. He was married to Glenna F. (Noah) McCloskey until her death on July 15, 2018.
Cuff was employed at the Cerro Metals in Bellefonte for over 33 years before retiring. He was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Howard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering around the house. He liked to watch old western movies, the Andy Griffith Show, and football on TV. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Cuff is survived by his two sons: Gary L. McCloskey and his wife, Lisa, of Yarnell and Barry G. McCloskey and his fiancé, Justine Witherite, of Howard; one brother, Horace McCloskey of Howard; and four grandchildren.
Along with parents and wife, Cuff was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Public visitation will be on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 10-Noon and a funeral service to follow at the Pilgrim Holiness Church, 155 Church Road, Howard, with Rev. Titus Stracener officiating. PA. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Howard.
