James R. Fletcher, 77 of Blanchard, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 11, 1944 in Ypsilanti, MI the son of the late Edward and Dorothy Fletcher.
He is a US Army Veteran. He met the love of his life Mary (Zonge) Fletcher in 1974 and they were later married.
James retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of employment. Jim was a member of the Beech Creek American Legion Post 623 and the Howard VFW where he enjoyed shooting pool on the Vets A pool team. He also enjoyed spending his time with family and friends bowling, golfing, fishing, throwing horseshoe, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He was an avid Michigan fan - GO BLUE!
Jim survived by 1 daughter, Jamie Fletcher; 4 sons, Frank Varano; Gary (Ashley) Varano; Beau (NaShaye) Fletcher; Hartsough (Bobbie) Fletcher; 3 sisters, Lucy (Dan) Morningstar; Mildred (Arnold) Brooks; Francis Fletcher (Hugh Law); 2 brothers, Hartsough (Nancy) Fletcher; Joseph (Patti) Fletcher; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Mary (Zonge) Fletcher, and 1 daughters, Tammy Crabtree.
Jim was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed greatly. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
