Joe R. McKivison, 67, of Beech Creek, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.  He was born on September 11, 1952 in Lock Haven, the son of Albert "Buck" & Doris J. Bennett McKivison.  

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Mary E. Falls, and his faithful dog Chena.

Joe was employed at the Hammermill Paper for many years until it's closing, Claster's in State College, Growmont of Pleasant Gap, and he was currently transporting the Amish.

He was a 1970 graduate of Lock Haven High and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  

Joe was a member of the Beech Creek Legion and the Spikes Buck Camp.  He enjoyed hunting and vacationing especially visiting Alaska where he was able to travel to three times. 

He is survived by one sister, Laura A. (Jim) McCloskey of Beech Creek, two nephews, Rickey Allen and John McKivison and one great-nephew Maverick.  He was preceded in death by one brother Rickie McKivison, and a sister, Donna McCloskey.

Friends and family will be received from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main Street, Howard with CDC precautions in place on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.  Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial at the Hays-Fearon Cemetery.
