Kim E. Merrill, 65, of Howard, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021. She was born on Jan. 4, 1956, in Williamsport a daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret Floyd Mahaffy. On September 12, 1985, she was united in marriage to Jacob E. Merrill who survives at their home. Kim was employed at Woodcraft Industries for many years and had also worked at Island Poultry.
She was a devoted member of the Romola Bible Church where she was a member of the Secret Sisters, and she was also a nursery attendant. Along with her husband she is survived by a son, Rexallen W. Schrum of Howard, a daughter, Mae S. (Jeremy "Herm") Rossman of Howard, a sister, Helen Wheeler of Linden, six grandchildren, Rexine, Katrina, Connor, Kara, Nathan, and Sierra, and a uncle, Carl Floyd of Williamsport. She was also preceded by her stepfather, Roy Womelsdorf.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec.27, 2021 at 6:30 P.M. at the Romola Bible Church, 2280 Marsh Creek Road, Howard, Pa. 16841 with Pastor Bill Livermore officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 5:00 P.M. until the service. Burial will be private at Romola Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
