Charles E. "Chick" Phillips, 88, of Howard, passed away at his residence on Monday, January 3, 2021. He was born in Beech Creek, on August 15, 1933, a son of the late Clyde and Lulu Miller Phillips. He married Shirley Jane Heverly on June 24, 1960.
Chick was employed for many years at Piper. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed tinkering on Farmall tractors and going to camp.
Along with his wife he is survived by a son, Clyde (Holly) Phillips of Howard, a daughter, Zoe (Todd) Weaver of Beech Creek, three grandsons, Richard, Chad, and Hunter, and two great-grandchildren, Ellison and Chad Jr., he was preceded by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. at Romola Bible Church, 2280 Marsh Creek Road, Howard, with Pastor Bill Livermore officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 P.M. until the service. Burial will be private at Romola Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Romola Church.
