Pauline (Simcox) Martin, 94, went to be with the Lord in the presence of family on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at her home in Ridge Crest MHP, Howard, PA. She was born in Karthaus, on March 15, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Loran Wayne Simcox and Pauline Jane Simcox-Shadeck. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Jerry, Stanley, and Blaine, and two sisters, Helen and Eva, a half-brother, James Shadeck, and half-sister, Charolet (Tootie) Shadeck Anderson. Pauline married Russell C. Martin who preceded her in death March 2, 2011.
Pauline was an active member of the Curtin United Methodist Church in Howard for many years, prior to becoming home bound. She loved gardening, camping, crafting, walking, baking, and cooking. She worked many years outside the home at Sylvania, 15 years with Bobby Brooks, and as a waitress at the Blue Chimney and Sunset West restaurants, and several other jobs like hostess at McDonald's on Eagle Valley Road.
Pauline is survived by three sons, Clair (Shirley Kellerman) Martin, Marlin (Marilyn Askey) Martin, and Steve (Donna Bechdel) Martin, and a daughter, Karen (Samuel Entz, who passed Jan. 11, 2021) Martin Entz. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
There will be no public services. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Schenck's Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at the Curtin United Methodist Church, Howard, at a later date and will be announced
