Peggy Ann (Ertley) Young

Peggy Ann Young, 83 of Bellefonte passed away on February 17, 2023, at Centre Care.

Born on February 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Deimer P. and Sarah E (Corman) Ertley. On March 14, 1998, Peggy married David B Young who preceded her in death in 2010.

Peggy enjoyed watching all Penn State sports, especially football and wrestling. She had a sweet tooth and loved eating candy. Most importantly, she loved all of her friends and family. She was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her.  

Peggy worked at Centre Crest for 39 years working her way up from a nurse's aide to office supervisor by the time she retired. 

She is survived by her brother Richard L Ertley (Cynthia); two stepdaughters Robin Marshall and Michele Torsell; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth E. Ertley; two infant sisters Charlotte and Beverly Ertley; a stepson David Young and stepdaughter Sharon Thompson. 

Family and friends will be received for a time of visitation from 2-3pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Kader Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 135 W. Main Street, Howard, PA 16841. A funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Cindy Killinger officiating.
